HiTalent Recruitment is partnering with a respected community services organisation to recruit a Family Violence Program Practitioner. This is a full-time or part-time permanent opportunity, with positions available across Tamworth, Moree, Inverell, and Armidale.

This is an opportunity to join a dedicated team delivering specialist programs designed to support men who have used violence to take accountability and change their behaviour.
As a Family Violence Program Practitioner, you will support the development and delivery of Men’s Behaviour Change Programs aligned with No to Violence (NTV) standards, NSW Department of Justice standards, and national frameworks addressing domestic and family violence.
You will facilitate structured group programs for voluntary and mandated participants while working within an integrated service response focused on the safety of women and children.
This role requires strong facilitation, risk assessment, and safety planning skills, as well as the ability to engage clients in reflective and accountable behavioural change.
Support the development and delivery of Men’s Behaviour Change Programs in line with minimum standards
Facilitate structured group sessions within a therapeutic framework
Conduct initial and ongoing risk assessments for program participants
Engage with participants prior to program commencement to reinforce accountability
Identify and report risks, safety concerns, and critical incidents to management
Respond to safety concerns impacting women, partners, children, and families in line with organisational protocols
Maintain accurate documentation, attendance records, data entry, and reporting
Contribute to program evaluation, service improvement, and program development
Collaborate with partner services to strengthen integrated responses and safety outcomes
Participate in training delivery, workshops, and professional development activities
Qualification (or Cert IV equivalent) in Social Work, Psychology, Community Services, or a related field
Minimum 2 years’ experience in the Domestic and Family Violence sector
Experience in risk assessment, group facilitation, counselling, and referral pathways
Strong communication and documentation skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
