HiTalent Recruitment is seeking a Community Mental Health Nurse to join a well-respected and reputable not-for-profit organisation in Bondi, that is funded to deliver inclusive NDIS services to the community. This role offers salary packaging benefits, supervision and support. This is a full-time role, but also open to 4-day-per-week candidates.

This community-focused role delivers recovery-oriented outreach and community based supports across psychosocial programs such as the Bondi response team, AOD services and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

You will work closely with participants, psychiatrists, families, carers, and the broader community to provide holistic, strengths-based mental health support that promotes independence, stability, and wellbeing.

You will be responsible for:

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and regular wellbeing check-ins

  • Provide psychosocial supports focused on recovery and empowerment

  • Undertake case management, including care coordination and service navigation

  • Monitor and check medications in collaboration with treating psychiatrists and GPs

  • Develop, implement, and review individualised support plans aligned with psychosocial and NDIS frameworks

  • Liaise with psychiatrists and other community stakeholders to ensure integrated care

  • Advocate for participant choice, control, and community participation

  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and compliance records

To be successful in this role, you will require: 

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse

  • Postgraduate qualification in Mental Health Nursing (or working toward) highly regarded

  • Demonstrated experience in community mental health

  • Strong understanding of psychosocial disability and recovery-oriented practice

  • Experience working within the NDIS framework

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Current NSW Driver’s Licence
