Dedicated to empowering vulnerable children, young people, and families, this organisation is now seeking a Risk and Compliance Officer – Investigations to join their dynamic team and contribute to meaningful, community-driven change.

  Are you passionate about safeguarding young people and driving real impact through investigative and compliance work in the community sector?  

In this impactful position, you will play a key role in managing reportable conduct investigations, enhancing risk frameworks, and supporting internal compliance processes. The successful candidate will be passionate about child and youth safety, with a strong foundation in community services and investigative work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct and coordinate investigations relating to reportable conduct and critical incidents.

  • Gather, assess, and present evidence in line with best practice and relevant legislation.

  • Support the development and implementation of effective risk and compliance systems.

  • Work closely with staff, carers, young people, and external stakeholders.

  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold safeguarding principles throughout all investigative processes.

  • Monitor audit findings and assist in resolution.

  • Provide quarterly risk and compliance reporting.

Key Requirements

Essential:

  • Diploma or higher qualification in Social Work, Community Services, or related field.

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in OOHC or a similar setting.

  • Strong understanding of child protection legislation and compliance standards.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • High-level administrative, organisational, and investigative capabilities.

  • Valid Working With Children Check, National Police Check, Driver’s License, and access to a fully insured vehicle.

  • Full working rights in Australia.

Desirable:

  • Prior experience conducting investigations in a child, youth, or family service setting.

  • Understanding of reportable conduct legislation and mandatory reporting.

  • Knowledge of risk, quality, and compliance frameworks.
