HiTalent Recruitment is partnering with a well-respected, award winning, independent school to recruit a permanent full time School Psychologist. Our client provides structured education, led by qualified and experienced teachers, across a range of subjects like literacy, numeracy, science, the arts, and physical education.
This role is pivotal in promoting student wellbeing, learning, and development. You will work closely with students, families, teachers, and leadership to provide assessments, interventions, and strategies that enhance mental health outcomes.
About the Role:
Provide psychological counselling to K-12 students individually and in groups using evidence-based interventions.
Conduct risk assessments, develop safety plans, and liaise with parents and external agencies where required.
Interpret, communicate, and apply psychometric, cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioural assessments.
Collaborate with teachers, wellbeing coordinators, and learning support teams to improve student outcomes.
Contribute to the design and delivery of whole-school wellbeing and pastoral programs, including preventative initiatives.
Maintain accurate, confidential psychological records and contribute to case reviews.
Support students and staff during critical incidents with professional expertise.
Engage in ongoing professional learning and contribute to staff development on wellbeing and mental health.
What We’re Looking For:
Must hold General Registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist.
Demonstrated experience within an education setting or extensive experience working with young and young people.
Strong knowledge of psychological assessment, therapeutic interventions, and wellbeing practices in schools.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, staff, and external professionals.

Generous salary of up to $130,000 + super
