Senior Mental Health Clinician
HiTalent Recruitment is partnering with a respected, values-driven community organisation to recruit a Senior Mental Health Clinician based in Gympie, Queensland. This is a full-time or part-time ongoing opportunity working within a multidisciplinary mental health service supporting young people.

About the Role
As a Senior Mental Health Clinician, you will play a key role in delivering specialist therapeutic support to young people aged 12–25 experiencing severe and complex mental health concerns.
You will work within the CCQ Mental Health AOD Hubs, providing evidence-based therapy while supporting coordinated care alongside families, schools, and community services.
This role also includes clinical leadership responsibilities, mentoring junior clinicians and supporting the development of high-quality mental health services for young people.
The position offers flexible working arrangements, including working from home, community outreach, and sessions from headspace or clinic offices.
Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions using CBT, DBT, ACT, and other appropriate modalities
Provide specialist counselling and clinical support to young people experiencing complex mental health challenges
Mentor and support junior clinicians to maintain high clinical standards
Collaborate with families, schools, and community services to develop integrated care plans
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and case notes while meeting service delivery targets
Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and referral pathway development
Contribute to service development and continuous improvement initiatives
What We’re Looking For
Experience delivering individual therapy to adolescents and young people
Strong understanding of trauma-informed care, youth mental health, and recovery-oriented practice
Experience delivering evidence-based therapies including CBT, DBT, and ACT
Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, or a related discipline
Current registration with a relevant professional body
Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
