Meaningful work supporting Aboriginal children, families, and communities
Working within a strengths-based and family-centred framework, you will support families to address challenges, build resilience, strengthen parenting capacity, and create safe and sustainable outcomes for children and young people.
You will work closely with families, communities, government agencies, and service providers to ensure coordinated and culturally responsive support.
Complete assessments, safety planning, and case planning activities
Build strong and respectful relationships with children, families, and communities
Support families to address risks and achieve positive outcomes
Advocate for the safety, wellbeing, and best interests of children and young people
Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
Maintain accurate case notes, reports, and client documentation
Participate in supervision, reflective practice, and professional development
Certificate IV in Community Services or equivalent qualification
Experience within child protection, family support, or community services
Strong knowledge of risk assessment, safety planning, and trauma-informed practice
Demonstrated case management and case planning experience
Understanding of cultural safety and culturally responsive service delivery
Knowledge of community, mental health, and disability support services
Strong administrative, organisational, and report-writing skills
Current Driver's Licence
Current Working with Children Check
National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
Experience working with Aboriginal children, young people, families, and communities
Understanding of the NSW child protection system
Experience working within family preservation or intensive family support programs
