Clinical Lead – Mental Health


HiTalent is partnering with a respected community mental health organisation to recruit an experienced Clinical Lead for an established service in Alice Springs.

This is an opportunity to provide clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary service supporting adults experiencing mental health crisis or significant distress. The service provides free, immediate and short-to-medium-term care in a welcoming, culturally safe environment.

About the role

Working alongside the Service Manager and leadership team, you will provide clinical oversight, operational guidance and positive leadership to a multidisciplinary team.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Leading safe, effective and person-centred mental health service delivery
* Supporting clinical governance, quality improvement and accreditation activities
* Coordinating assessments, referrals, shared care plans and therapeutic interventions
* Providing clinical interventions when required
* Supporting staff through supervision, coaching and reflective practice
* Building partnerships with public mental health, primary health, Aboriginal health and local community services
* Identifying service gaps and contributing to service planning and development
* Promoting culturally safe, trauma-informed and recovery-oriented practice
* Using service and consumer data to improve outcomes and the guest experience

About you

You are an experienced mental health professional who can confidently lead clinical practice while building a supportive, collaborative and accountable team culture.

To be considered, you will need:

* A tertiary qualification in psychology, social work, occupational therapy or mental health nursing
* Current registration or accreditation with the relevant professional body, such as AHPRA or AASW
* Proven experience leading clinical teams in mental health service delivery
* Strong knowledge of recovery-oriented and person-centred practice
* Experience working within a multidisciplinary team
* The ability to establish effective partnerships with government, health, emergency and community service providers
* Experience preparing reports and recommendations
* An understanding of funded mental health programs and contractual requirements
* A valid Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card) and Police Check, or the ability to obtain them
* Capacity to meet applicable immunisation requirements

Knowledge of services available within Alice Springs and the surrounding region will be highly regarded.
