As Program Manager, you will provide clinical and operational leadership across a multidisciplinary early psychosis program supporting young people aged 12–25 years. You’ll oversee multiple teams and play a key role in driving service quality, performance, and continuous improvement.
This is an opportunity to lead an established program based on a nationally recognised model, while influencing outcomes for young people and their families.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:
Leading the day-to-day operations of the Youth Mental Health program in Canberra
Providing leadership, supervision, and support to Team Leaders and clinical staff
Leading from the front to support multidisciplinary teams delivering high-quality, trauma-informed care
Embedding strong clinical governance, risk management, and quality frameworks, driving service performance, data integrity, and reporting outcomes
Overseeing the entire service, thinking big picture by ensuring workforce planning, recruitment, and onboarding, supporting budget management and operational planning
Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and community partners
Leading continuous improvement, audits, and accreditation processes
Ensuring service delivery aligns with funding and compliance requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
A tertiary degree in Social Work, Nursing, Occupational Therapy or Psychology
Registration with a relevant professional body - AASW or APHRA
3-5 years of proven experience in leading and coordinating a leadership team in a mental health setting.
Strong clinical capability, including risk management and therapeutic intervention oversight
Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and foster a positive team culture
Excellent communication skills and ability to build effective stakeholder relationships
Ability to work autonomously while leading by example
Commitment to recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and culturally safe practice
