HiTalent Recruitment is seeking an experienced Program Manager to join a well-established and reputable not-for-profit organisation in the New England region of NSW that delivers a range of programs supporting families, children, and communities.

This is a permanent full-time leadership opportunity based in Tamworth, offering the chance to lead a portfolio of programs that promote family wellbeing, mental health, and community support services.

Are you an experienced leader with a passion for delivering community-focused programs and driving meaningful outcomes for families and communities?

In this position, you will lead the planning, implementation, and delivery of multiple programs, ensuring services align with organisational goals while meeting funding, compliance, and quality standards.

Reporting to the Executive Manager – Community Services, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the development, implementation, and management of programs aligned with organisational strategy and community needs.

  • Managing program budgets, funding agreements, and contracts to ensure compliance with funding requirements.

  • Monitoring program performance, evaluating outcomes, and preparing reports with recommendations for improvement.

  • Recruiting, supervising, and supporting staff while promoting professional development and a collaborative team environment.

  • Identifying, monitoring, and responding to risks associated with program delivery.

  • Ensuring compliance with legislation, regulations, funding agreements, and organisational policies and procedures.

  • Maintaining accurate records and completing required reporting to funding bodies.

  • Leading quality assurance processes and driving continuous improvement initiatives across programs.

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with community stakeholders, partners, and funding bodies.

  • Representing the organisation in community forums and leadership meetings.

  • Identifying new business opportunities and supporting tender development to secure funding for future programs.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Community Services, Social Science, Management, or a related field.

  • Demonstrated experience managing programs or services within the community services sector.

  • Experience leading teams and providing supervision, coaching, and performance management.

  • Strong understanding of program delivery, compliance, funding agreements, and reporting requirements.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • The ability to work collaboratively with community partners and multidisciplinary teams.

  • A current driver’s licence, Working With Children Check, and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
