HiTalent Recruitment is seeking a Social Worker to join a well-respected and reputable not-for-profit organisation in Bondi, which is funded to deliver inclusive services to the community. This role will work directly with people experiencing acute distress, trauma responses and grief to provide compassionate, structured support and ensure access to the right services at the right time. This role offers salary packaging benefits, supervision and support. This is a full-time role, but also open to 4-day-per-week candidates.

You will work closely with participants, psychiatrists, families, carers, and the broader community to provide holistic, strengths-based mental health support that promotes independence, stability, and wellbeing.

You will be responsible for:

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, safety planning and regular well-being check-ins

  • Undertake case management, including care coordination and service navigation

  • Develop, implement, and review individualised support plans aligned with psychosocial and recovery-oriented frameworks

  • Liaise with psychiatrists and other community stakeholders to ensure integrated care

  • Advocate for participant choice, control, and community participation

  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and compliance records

  • Support clients to access practical supports, including legal, financial, housing and community services

  • Participate in reflective practice, case reviews and clinical supervision

To be successful in this role, you will require: 

  • Social Work degree with current or eligibility for AASW registration

  • Strong skills in psychosocial assessment, risk screening and safety planning

  • Experience providing service navigation and coordinating across multiple systems

  • High emotional intelligence and strong professional boundaries

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary response team

  • A trauma-informed, culturally safe and non-judgmental approach

  • Current NSW Driver’s Licence
